Mother's Day Treats

So Mother's Day is right around the corner and Sephora is definitely a winner at promoting their limited edition-Sephora only sets. There are many great starter kits to splurge on, which is what ends up happening most of the time. Another good excuse to buy something special for your mother AND yourself.


Here are two sets I have been setting my eyes on recently. The one on the left, is the Stila set which comes with mascara, lipstick, eyeshadow trio, convertible color and smudge pots for eyes. I like the natural colors and I personally love love their smudge pots. The colors are shimmery, long lasting, and never smudges under eyes. The brown eyeshadows, nude lipstick, black mascara are versatile enough for everyday use.
The one on the right, which I already splurged on, is from Smashbox. For a mere $60 you receive $180 worth of merchandise, which made it extra tempting for me. I love the softlights blush, eyeshadoq quad, nude lipgloss and the lip exfoliant. However I just don't use the brow tech trio, creamy eyeliner duo and photofinish primer enough, but I'm sure they are great also!
This set from Lorac is also aiming for the versatile route with its eyeshadow trio, blush/bronzer duo, nude lipgloss, black mascara and foundation primer. The blush/bronzer duo is a great essential makeup bag item. And the size of it looks very portable.

After talley the total number of lipglosses, mascaras, eyeshadows I have sitting at home, I've decided to pass on this Mother's Day, for myself of course. As for my dear mom, I will be sure to get her something more meaningful.
